Annie’s life was set up for creativity, design, and the styling world. Dropping into the industry through the back door is so typical of this creative soul. At first making clothes and jewelry for friends as a youngster, winning sewing contests as a teen and creating things always.
Southern California native, after a few years as a young adult dabbling in fashion design in Los Angeles it was off to NYC to get the MFA at Pratt Institute Brooklyn. The NYC art scene was a thriving place for a young creative mind, selling paintings and sculptures was a blast for Annie yet she ultimately realized that she was not committed to pursuing a living this way.
Coming from a fine art background, styling and costuming was always been like making art, painting a picture: shapes, texture, color, proportions that create a story in the frame, whether with moving pictures or still.
Annie has landed in some great places and had amazing experiences — she has earned her stripes. Collaboration with others is the genesis of her work, creating community and visual storytelling.
At the helm of the department; often managing multiple crews, budgets, and creatively looking for the gold in all she does. Simultaneously teaching and sharing with her team and learning throughout. You will typically find Annie with an intern in toe, sharing her experience and the ins and outs of the job; her deep belief is we must constantly be a contribution and inclusive in everything we do.
Inviting Annie on to your team is like grasping the brass ring from the carousel.
